A skilled master in the synergies of Soul on Reggae, with elements of Ragga Hip-hop and Ska.
Zen’s many live performances include Glastonbury festival on the Roots Stage with The Catch 22 Collective which was produced by Prash Mistry aka Engine Earz Experiment, and featured artists including Deadly Hunta and Aruba Red.
Later Zen returned to Glastonbury to perform with Engine Earz Experiment playing the Bassline Circus and BBC Introducing Stage. Zen also featured on official release ‘Charged Particle' by Funt Case and Engine Earz, which was signed to Circus Records.
Zen became in demand for more standalone live outings performing the Wenti Wadada Positive Reggae Stage at Exit Festival
in Serbia and supporting The Dub Pistols at the 02 Academy Oxford.
2018 saw Zen release his debut EP My Meditation with music videos for tracks 'State of Emergency' and 'Wicked World' feat. - Deadly Hunta, both premiering through Reggaeville, the worlds biggest on-line reggae outlet/YouTube channel with over 1m subscribers.
This was followed by his anthemic single Warrior, produced by Lion Riddims in Summer of 2019 which went on to be Jungle remixed by DnB pioneer Nicky Black Market, and also Ricky Tuff & Isacc Maya which was signed to Jungle Cakes. Zen has a string of releases with Jungle Cakes, and currently has tracks out with Gold Dubs & Kallum and none other than legendary producer’s Deekline and Aries.
To keep the live performance momentum going during 2020/21 Zen performed on several Jungle Cakes live streams alongside many top rankin’ DJ’s and artists such as Ed Solo, Deekline, Jessie G, Miss Pink & Leanne Louise and MC Navigator. During this time Zen’s live stream performances also included The Belly Man Show and The Katalyst & Maddy-V Show on Rintingz TV.
Zen’s Reggae fusion sound is powerful and unique, his message is authentic, honest and emotive with a depth and meaning in his writing, not forgetting some straight up party bangers! A versatile artist with a sweet and powerful singing voice, but also a dope MC with a back ground in Hip-Hop which he seamless and uniquely blends in his music.
For Zen’s latest project he has teamed up with the one and only Boom Shack-A-Lak dancehall legend ‘Apache Indian’ for his next release entitled ‘Walk Through Fire’ which is sure to cause a fyah in the dance! Zen is also currently working toward releasing his debut album, with shows planned across the UK, he is one to watch out for!
